Who Am I?

A theater lifer, a lover of life and a recently retired-from-full-time-teaching storyteller, Shelley has been moved by language, narrative and the collaborative process for as long as she can remember. A long-time actor whose career evolved to encompass directing, new play development, and university teaching, she looks to find, build, and inspire work that challenges and surprises. As a theater practitioner who thrives in both the classical canon and the development of new work, Shelley is happiest living in the ‘I don’t know, let’s get our hands dirty and figure that out’. Having recently directed her first short film, she revels in how much she doesn’t know. She’s also been known to swear like she’s in an episode of Deadwood.
